Cal Spas 2 in jet body gasket – PLU29222-299-042

The 2" Cal Spas jet body gasket, part number PLU29222-299-042, is designed to seal between a compatible jet body and the spa shell.

Also called Jet Grommet Gasket, this gasket helps prevent water infiltration around the jet. It is suitable for replacing a worn, deformed, or damaged gasket during a repair.

This part replaces the old part number PLU29222-299-040.

Spa jet gasket

Installed around the jet body, this gasket forms a watertight barrier where it passes through the spa shell.

A deteriorated gasket can cause:

• A leak around the jet
• Water accumulation inside the cabinet
• A gradual loss of water level
• Deterioration of the insulation
• Damage to components located beneath the spa

Replacing the gasket helps restore the seal when the jet body and shell are in good condition.

Compatibility

This gasket is designed for certain 2" jet bodies used in Cal Spas.

The nominal jet diameter alone is not enough to confirm compatibility. Before ordering, compare:

• The part number
• The shape of the gasket
• Its inner and outer diameters
• The installed jet body
• The shape of the opening in the shell
• The year and model of the spa

This part should not be considered a universal gasket for all 2" jets.

Recommended installation

Replacing the gasket may require access to the back of the shell and removal of the jet body.

Before servicing:

1. Turn off the power completely.
2. Drain the spa below the level of the jet.
3. Remove the jet body according to the appropriate procedure.
4. Thoroughly clean the sealing surfaces.
5. Install the new gasket without twisting it.
6. Reinstall the jet body.
7. Fill the spa and check for leaks.
